Richard started his career in the British Military, where he served for a total of 13 years. He began this career in the Royal Air Force Regiment, protecting air assets in high risk environments such as Iraq and Afghanistan. He then transferred to the British Army, conducting specialist operations all over the world. Richard retired from the Army with a distinguished and exemplary career.
He has since completed a Master’s Degree in Security and Risk Management and attained ‘Professional Member’ status with The Security Institute. Richard has worked as a contractor to a number of security companies providing specialist security to private clients. He is now the founder and Director of West4 Guardians Ltd trading as ‘W4G Security Services’, providing security services and specialist advice to clients.
With over 17 years of industry experience, Doug first trained as a Master Locksmith in 2002, gaining valuable experience in Physical & Mechanical security. Becoming a company Director in 2005, and successfully expanding the business portfolio and gaining multiple accreditation in electronic security.
Accepting a new role as Director at Digi Security Ltd in 2010, Doug was instrumental in the fast paced growth of the business. Working with National and European customers, leading to a strategic acquisition by Chubb Fire & Security. Doug continued to oversee the acquisition in the role of General Manager before finally leaving the business in May 2019.
Doug is now a partner and Managing Director of W4G Security, working to further establish and grow the Fire and Electronic Security Division.
Nicole studied at Exeter school and went on to achieve a foundation degree in performing arts. She then worked in HR and Admin for a Veterinary clinic before moving to W4G Security as the HR & business development manager.
After gaining interest in the security industry, Nicole achieved her SIA license, and has since, managed a number of festivals and events across the South West. She is an integral part of the team and ensures that everything is running smoothly both at events and behind the scenes.
Oliver joined W4G Security having completed 19 years as a Police Detective in both the Metropolitan Police and Hertfordshire Constabulary. He has a wealth of knowledge across all types of crime investigation and, as a Detective Inspector, managed numerous Major Crime investigations and other types of Critical Incident to successful conclusion.
Oliver is used to managing multi-team performance and reporting on this to stakeholders and managers, whilst providing performance data to assist understanding. He is very well placed to ensure that specific contract specifications are met and that you, as a client, are provided with an excellent quality of service.
With a background in electrical and electronic engineering, specialising in fire and security systems, Mike brings more than a decade’s industry experience to the table. Having acquired his initial engineering skills and knowledge in the armed forces, Mike has gone on to hold positions as a field service engineer and as a project engineer before climbing the ladder to lead and manage others within the sector.
With a strong academic and vocational grounding, Mike has the knowledge and experience to ensure we deliver high service levels along with effective and compliant systems to protect you and your property.
